Whale Watching and Whales of Iceland Exhibition

On this combo tour admission to Whales of Iceland is included in your Whale Watching ticket so before or after your tour we recommend visiting the Whales of Iceland exhibition on the other side of the old Reykjavik harbor.

The Whales of Iceland exhibition showcases 23 life-size whale models with a lot of in-depth information, interactive experiences, and underwater footage of whales shown on an 8-meter-long screen. A part of the exhibition focuses on conservation where the multiple threats (and their solutions) that whales face in the ocean today are showcased. The exhibition gives you a feeling of how small we humans are compared to the ocean wildlife.

On the Whale Watching tour, you will check in at our Special Tours Ticket Office at the Old Reykjavik harbor before we sail out to Faxaflói Bay where we search for the common whales in the area, such as Humpback whales, Minke whales, White-beaked dolphins, and Harbour porpoises.

During the tour, we can get a feeling of their behavior in the wild, while learning more about them from one of our expert guides. The focus of the tour is on the wildlife in the bay, unique experiences, and personal service while making sure the environment is protected and respected in every way possible.
