Vineyard and Art - Private Tour
For many people, fine wine and fine art go hand in hand and on this tour you get to know Colombia’s best of both as a connoisseur. From Cali we firstly travel to the Unión valley, the capital of Colombia’s wine production. The area is famed for its viticulture and you get to see it up close at the largest vineyard in Colombia where you can delight in a wine tasting. The region also boasts production of tropical fruits as well as coffee and as you travel through you can admire the changing landscapes, colours and scenery of the Cauca Valley, surrounded by natural parks and reserves. Next on the tour we go to Roldanillo, named by Carlos Villafañe as ‘La Tierra del Alma’ (or in English ‘Land of Soul’), famous for colonial architecture and the artist, Omar Rayo. We pass through the town before heading to the highlight for any visitor: the Rayo Museum built in 1973. Admire over 2,000 works by Omar Rayo including pastel work and caricatures from the 40’s and 50’s as well as works from then up until now. Also on display are pieces by Góngora, Hoyos and Grau amongst many other national and international artists.
