How to use your Tokyo Subway ticket

Please collect a physical ticket from a ticket vending machine in Tokyo Metro/Toei Metro Subway stations. If there is no ticket vending machine at your departure station, please ask the station staff and you will be guided to a station where there is a ticket vending machine to collect the physical ticket.

After a physical ticket is collected, the validity period and time will be printed on the ticket when you start using it to pass a ticket gate. If you enter the station and board the train within the valid time, you can still leave the station even if the valid time has passed.

The ticket cannot be resold, if resold the ticket becomes invalid.
