Discover the heart of the old town with professional local guide who will show you the most famous places that make Dubrovnik so unique and popular, as well as its hidden gems.
Visit the Romanesque cloister of the Franciscan monastery, the third oldest pharmacy in Europe and the first that was open to the public. Your guide will take you around historical old town city center and also share with you some legends and tales from the times medicine was made exclusively from herbs, sometimes even from animals’ venoms.
Our first stop is the Franiscan Monastery, one of World’s Oldest Pharmacies. It is a monastery until this day since 1317, that’s the year when the pharmacy was founded as well. Centuries of expertise and experiments was poured into each medication and remedy. Today there’s a memory of once glorious past, all enclosed within the walls of today’s Franciscan Museum.
Inside the Old town of Dubrovnik you will explore Pile Gate, Stradun – main street, Luza Square, Rector’s Palace, Dubrovnik Cathedral, Monument of Poet Ivan Gundulic and Prijeko Street, among others.
Once we’re done discovering all sights, we’ll drop you off back at the port and your ship.
