What you'll do
On our Secret Food Tour: Lyon, you'll find out why, since 1935, the city has been considered the world’s capital of gastronomy - thanks in large part to the famous ‘Mères Lyonnaises’ (Lyonnaise Mothers). Many of the city’s recipes remain unchanged from their humble beginnings, giving you the opportunity to taste the culture and history that have made Lyon the culinary hub it is today.
Itinerary
After meeting by the steps of the Temple du Change, you’ll start the tour with a savoury dish once served to the Canuts (Lyonnais silk workers), and of course, a glass of wine.
Then, we will explore the old paved streets of Vieux Lyon before stopping at one of the most exclusive sweet shops in the city to sample a delicious local pastry.
Going through the traboule (interconnecting private alleyways between streets) and reaching our chocolate spot.
Time for a hearty taste of the Lyon Gastronomy and another glass of wine.
