San Lorenzo Food Market has 2 floors for you to explore: the ground floor is where you will find vendors selling their freshest products while the first floor is where you will find restaurants and street food stands and where you can sit down and enjoy a delicious tradional dish or a glass of wine. Your private professional guide will show you around the Market, where you will join the first tasting of the experience: you will taste Tuscany’s world celebrated biscuits, the Cantucci, an almond based biscuit filled with almonds. This particular kind of biscuit was created in the 16th century in Prato, when a local baker decided to add almonds to the Roman version of these biscuits because of the abundance of olive trees growing in the surroundings. As per Florentine tradition, you will soak your cantucci in a typical vin santo sweet wine, a special treat you cannot miss!
