Pizza and Gelato Making Cooking Class in Florence

Come learn to make Pizza and Gelato just like the Italians do!

Join our class and let our Chefs introduce you to the history and traditions behind these delicious Italian creations.

Alongside our professional pizza chef, or pizzaiolo, you will learn how to make your own personal pizza, starting with the preparation of the dough. You will then move on to stretching it, adding sauce, and topping it to your liking with our seasonal ingredients.

Our Chef will teach you how to create a soft, elastic yeast dough that can be stretched almost paper‑thin for a crispy, crunchy pizza—or left thicker for a fluffier crust, depending on your preference. You will also learn techniques that will help you recreate your pizza at home!

While the pizza dough rests, you will explore another classic Italian treat: Gelato. The Chef will guide you through the history of this sweet specialty, explaining the use of fresh, traditional ingredients and demonstrating the techniques needed to make a delicious gelato. During the demonstration, you will also receive helpful tips for recognizing the best and most authentic gelaterie while exploring Italy.

At the end of your course, you will receive a digital booklet with all the recipes, allowing you to recreate your pizza and gelato for your friends, family, and yourself.

This activity is highly recommended for families who want their children to learn about Italian culture in a fun, hands‑on way—an experience that will surely become a lasting memory!

Important information

We are pleased to welcome vegetarians, those with intolerances or allergies. Vegetarian and other alternative recipes are available. We regret to inform you that this class is not suitable for coeliacs.
