Kampung and Firefly Watching with Dinner - Full-Day Tour

Take a peek at Malaysian rural life with an exploration of Kuala Selangor, just an hour’s drive from Kuala Lumpur.

Kuala Selangor has so much to offer. Here, fishing and farming are the main jobs, although a large part of the area has also been cultivated with both palm oil and rubber plantations.

Upon arrival, we visit Bukit Melawati, which is a popular tourist attraction and the hill overlooks the Strait of Malacca and it also has a lighthouse, as well as the remains of the Kota Melawati Fort. Next, we enjoy a Chinese-style local seafood dinner, before boarding a boat for the highlight of the evening – firefly watching.

Cruising up stream, we observe thousands of fireflies flickering like Christmas lights in mangrove trees which line the riverbanks of the river. After this tour, we take a transfer back to the city.
