Ice Cave Tour and Snowmobile Ride from Gullfoss
Imagine going glacier snowmobiling with us and stopping in a natural ice cave!
Here is something new and incredibly adventurous! We have added to our fleet of machinery a new way to ride the glacier, the most iconic glacier vehicle that bears the name “SnowCat.” With a custom-built box with comfortable seating, we offer you the ride of a lifetime! The Golden Circle is one of the most iconic routes you can drive in Iceland. If you have a rental car and your journey is leading you to the incredible Gullfoss waterfall, then you have simply travelled too close to the glacial highlands to skip it!
Park your car at Gullfoss Café and you will be stunned by the massive trucks and super jeeps that await your arrival. Our driver will greet you at our meeting point sign and from there we start the journey to the glacial highlands of Iceland, driving from Gullfoss to Langjökull glacier.
The epic scenery on the way and the impassable road that our massive machinery eats through is an adventure on its own.
Once we get to the glacier we will step out of the monster truck and into our glacier hut for snowsuits and other accessories that keep you warm during the snowmobile ride. When suited up we head to our parked snowmobile rows and the guide will go through the details of how to operate the snowmobile. No worries, it´s quite easy. After the short introduction, you select your snowmobile and once the guide signals you to go, the ride begins. A valid driver's license is required to operate a snowmobile, meaning you have to have the right to drive a car.
Riding the glacier and with good visibility, you will have emerged in the epic surroundings and lava-formed rock mountains. Total whiteout is always a possibility but that is no less fun and what we truly call the moods of Mountaineers. The ride will take you to our new Ice Cave which gives you a good insight into how the Glacier works.
Although we know how Glacier looks it´s such an amazing experience to go inside this amazing structure. The Ice we are sculpting is over 1000 years old and you can see layers of ash from many different eruptions throughout history. The trip to the Ice Cave is also an exhilarating snowmobile tour. When we arrive at the Ice Cave we will explore every corner and detail of it and also our Guides will inform you about everything you want to know about the Glacier.
We then head back to Mountaineers Glacier Hut and hop on the monster truck to ride back through the snowy terrain on our way to Gullfoss.

Important information - There may be restrictions
The price is based on 2 people sharing a snowmobile. In the event that the number of participants in the group is an odd number, it will be necessary for one individual in the group to share a snowmobile with another member of the activity. Single driving is available as an extra supplement for adults. Odd numbers for a juvenile passenger are charged an extra 60,000 ISK.
