Before or after your cruise, visit the Marine Exchange Center, the boarding point for the GARINKO-GO. Here, you can delve deeper into the local ecosystem:
• Underwater Natural Observation Room: Witness the world beneath the drift ice.
• Exhibits: See the adorable sea moths (Clione), often called "drift ice fairies," and various fish species from the northern seas.
Important Information
Drift Ice Guarantee: Drift ice is a natural phenomenon and is generally most common from late January to early March. Its presence cannot be guaranteed and may be affected by weather or shore conditions.
If it is not possible to go to Mombetsu due to road conditions. There will be no refunds but an alternative visit to the ice pavilion will be arranged.
If the icebreaker is canceled due to weather or other reasons: A partial refund will be given and an alternative visit to the Okhotsk Drift Ice Science Center “Giza” will be arranged.
If the number of participants for the English or Chinese plan is less than 10, the service will be provided through an app. Please understand and agree to this before participating.
