We will introduce you to the sellers of our favourite local shops, share traditional breakfast delicacies, smell and learn about herbs and spices, visit a delicatessen to taste the original honey glazed yoghurt and introduce you to the magical word of olives.
You'll also be taken to one of the best traditional Greek restaurants (Mageirio) for a seated lunch, cheese tasting and, of course, a dessert.
During the walk, you'll meet our old friends in the oldest vegetable, fish and meat market in Athens and taste our best wines and distillates of the region.
You will have the chance to learn how to cook all the dishes you will taste and get local insight into recipes, tips for Athens, the islands and culinary traditions.

Hello everyone! We are Julia and Douk, mother and son, Athenian foodies, born and raised in Athens.
Julia has always loved food and she never stops cooking, eating, trying new things, but mostly exploring the city for new tasty experiences. Her favourite food shops are in the city centre and she discovered them at a very young age, as she used to shop there as a child with her grandparents, who owned a food shop in the market.
Douk grew up in a home where smells and tastes were always part of everyday life, and his love of food led him to pursue a career that revolved around it. After working abroad, he decided to come back, join the family business and do what he loves more; share his knowledge of food and make guests feel at home.
