With many options to greet you upon arrival at Hallstatt you could start by taking a train to the top of the entrance to the salt mines. Then, if you´re feeling adventurous there is the option to descend into the 450 year olds mines. If not, the views looking out over Hallstatt and the surrounding area are enough to take your breath away. It is hard not to leave this magical place feeling in awe of the splendid scenery.
