City Sightseeing Potsdam Hop-On Hop-Off Tour

Visit the imperial city of Potsdam, once part of communist East Germany, and previous home to the Prussian and German Kings. During the tour you will see the famous Sanssouci Palace and park, and learn see the bridge that became the symbol of the Cold War in the city.

Potsdam is a picturesque and fascinating city, packed with beautifully built heritage sights and wonderful natural areas, with three-quarters of the city classified as green space. This tour will reveal a mixture of Prussian architecture, luscious parks and, of course, the original Brandenburg Gate. Potsdam is rich in history too as a place where the exchange of spies between the CIA and KGB took place, as well as the location of the historical meeting at the stunning Schloss Cecilienhof between Stalin, Truman and Churchill to determine the punishment for defeated Nazi Germany.

The city is the capital of the German federal state of Brandenburg and it boasts Germany’s largest World Heritage site. Maybe hop off and explore the Kolonie Alexandrowka, a colony in the north of the city that consists of 13 Russian-style wooden houses built in 1826. Or maybe take a peek behind the scenes at Brandenburg Film Studios. There’s so much to see and do.

Throughout the tour you will also see Wannsee, Glienicke Bridge, gardens, the Dutch district, a fully working historic mill, other royal residences of the Orangerie and the New Palace.
