Enjoy an unforgettable day touring the same mountains that the indigenous Taíno Cayacoa inhabited, mountains full of incredible vegetation where, in addition, we will find the large coffee and cocoa plantations, we will learn about the characteristic flora and fauna of the place, and we will live a typical gastronomic experience of the place.
During our tour we will have the opportunity to visit a real tobacco factory where, if you dare, you can make your own cigarettes, also, take them as a souvenir! We will visit the capital of the province, the city of Higuey, where we will visit its majestic cathedral, here, you will be surprised with the true urban life of a Dominican city, above all, something that will catch your attention will be its typical market.
In a few kilometers we will have left the city and we will gradually enter the beautiful Anamuya mountains, we will be surprised by the amount of vegetation that covers all the slopes of the mountains, we will cross several rivers until we reach one of the large coffee plantations and cocoa, here, our local guide will show us countless plants, bushes and trees of all kinds, we will learn about the harvesting of cocoa, and we will participate in the drying, grinding and packaging process.
We will share a delicious buffet lunch with the owners of the plantation, and in the afternoon, you can relax on a beautiful tropical beach.
