Best of Siena, San Gimignano, Chianti and Pisa - Small-Group Tour

Three hundred years ago, aristocrats and noble young men from Europe began taking a trek through Italy in search of art, culture and the roots of Western civilization. The Grand Tour.

Similarly, today you will have the chance of discovering the best of Tuscany with the exclusivity of this small-group tour.

A full-day experience to discover Tuscany, with its different dimensions, landscapes, ancient towns, art masterpieces and food and wine traditions.

A comfortable minivan with A/C will be your vessel through gorgeous Tuscan landscapes throughout the day. Gentle Chianti hills framed by cypress trees, vineyards and olive groves, little hilltop ancient villages, wine estates, the fertile plain reaching Pisa, will all fill your eyes with beauty during the transfers.

The small-group and the personalized attention of our professional tour leader will provide a high-quality experience like no other.

In ancient times, there was only one city in Tuscany that competed against Florence for power, wealth and artistic beauties: Siena. Starting from Florence, you will be taken to Siena by an English speaking driver and tour leader.

Here you will enjoy a guided walking tour of the ancient town that will let you discover also Piazza del Campo, the main central square where the famous Palio horse race takes place every year, as well as exploring quieter backstreets and learning everything about the Contrade, the 17 medieval city districts that compete against each other in the Palio.

The journey continues to San Gimignano, renowned for its "medieval skyscrapers", high walls and narrow streets that typify most people's image of a Tuscan hill town. San Gimignano is unique in the preservation of about a dozen of its tower houses, which, with its hilltop setting and encircling walls, form an unforgettable skyline.

After some free time in San Gimignano, you will reach a prestigious Chianti boutique winery. This will be the ideal setting for a relaxed break during the day, letting you savour a delicious Tuscan lunch and taste some great Chianti wines, while learning about wine production and visiting their cellars.

A stop in the square of the medieval town of Impruneta will let you discover the ancient art of terracotta, being this the capital of this material and its multiple uses, both in art and in construction, nowadays like centuries ago (Brunelleschi's dome terracotta tiles come from here).

Relax with beautiful views from the window while you reach Pisa and explore its famous Piazza dei Miracoli (Miracle Square), a magnificent space with the incredible cathedral and baptistry, all dominated by the world-renowned Leaning Tower and its unique and dramatic elegance (tickets not included).

The final drive will take you back to Florence, leaving you with your eyes, mind and heart filled by the infinite discoveries of this incredible journey: the Tuscany Grand Tour.

Important information - There may be restrictions
Please note that the Leaning Tower tickets are not included as the usually long lines to climb the tower would not make this visit possible. However, you will have the chance to buy them directly in Pisa if you want and the line is short.
