Ushuaia Lake Tour: Lago Escondido and Fagnano

Your excursion begins in the morning driving Northeast from Ushuaia along National Route Nº 3. Crossing over the mountain range you will discover peat bogs, small glaciers, ski centers, waterfalls and dry trees destroyed by beavers. From Hambre Ranch you'll follow the mountain path to a panoramic viewpoint. You will ascend until reaching the famous Garibaldi Pass. From here, the highest point in the province (430 mts. above sea level or 1410 feet), you will have exceptional views of Escondido and Fagnano Lakes. Enjoy a brief rest stop and visit at Escondido Lake. From here you'll continue on past a sawmill to see the largest lake in the province, Lake Fagnano. A lunch stop will be made on your return to Ushuaia.
