The Gap of Dunloe and Killarney Lakes Day Rail Tour

Visit Lord Brandon's Cottage and then travel by jaunting car through the depths of the Kerry mountains through the Gap of Dunloe. Check-in at Dublin Heuston Station for 7am departure of InterCity train to Killarney.

On arrival in Killarney, you will be transferred from Killarney Station to Ross Castle via coach. From here, the tour begins by traditional open boat on Lough Leane. Passing Innisfallen, Ross Island and under the Bricin Bridge towards the Meeting of the Waters at the old Weir Bridge.

The tour continues along the Long Range towards Eagles Nest Mountain and onto the Upper Lake. A stop over here for a light snack and refreshments at Lord Brandan's cottage (not included). Then travel by pony and trap through the Black Valley and Gap of Dunloe finishing up at Kate Kearney's cottage.

At "Kate's" Traditional Irish Pub you will enjoy the tradition of hospitality which is the perfect finish to a day of memorable sightseeing. Transfer from here to Killarney Railway Station.

The Dublin train departs at 5:37pm, so there is normally time for a quick flavour of Killarney town centre which is close to the station.

Arrival back at Dublin Heuston Station at 9pm.
