Minitrekking on Perito Moreno Glacier

Would you like to enjoy one of the most fun activities in El Calafate? Dare to do a minitrekking in the Perito Moreno Glacier!

The trip begins with the trip from El Calafate to the Bajo de las Sombras port (about an hour and a half), where you embark to cross the Rico Lake. Groups of up to 20 people are formed, who make a 20-minute walk to the glacier and, once with the crampons, the ascent begins.

The tour lasts approximately 2 hours and you can enjoy the ice formations; know about the flora, fauna and glaciology of the region; and especially on the phenomenon of glacier rupture.

Then, return to the refuge through the Magellanic forest and from there, cross the Rich Arm of Lago Argentino to sail in front of the glacier.
