Madaba, Mount Nebo Baptisim Site and the Dead Sea - Full-Day Tour with Lunch

Start the day by driving to Madaba, a city best known for the famous 6th-century Mosaic Map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land and for its spectacular Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics.

Continue to Mount Nebo, a city mentioned in the Bible as the place where Moses was granted a glimpse of the Promised Land he would never enter.

Visit the site of the baptism of Jesus Christ (Bethany beyond the Jordan), where John the Baptist prepared the way for the coming of the Messiah, and John's ministry itself marked the beginning of the preaching of the "gospel of the kingdom" (Luke 16:16).

Some of the key events in John's life and in his proclamation of Jesus' coming took place in Jordan. Although the divinely inspired role of Jesus Christ was announced before and during His birth, He began His public ministry at Bethany beyond the Jordan at the age of 30, immediately after being baptised by John and anointed by God (Luke 3:21-23; Acts 1:21-22).

We then travel to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, for a 3-hour swim and lunch at a 5* Dead Sea resort.

Transfer back to Amman at the end of the tour.
