Discover the City of Santa Marta - The Pearl of Colombian Caribbean

Between the mountains and the sea is located Santa Marta, the oldest city in America, founded in 1525 by Don Rodrigo de Bastidas, in it you can see the traces of a glorious past, represented in old buildings and military constructions dating from colonial times.

The Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino Built in 1608, it is a beautiful hacienda located on the outskirts of the city and was the last residence of the Liberator Simón Bolívar. The fifth is divided into three zones; Old where the room where the liberator died, bathrooms, kitchen, library, dining room, stables are preserved; Modern where works of art by representative artists worldwide are exhibited and finally: The Botanical Garden.

The tour continues to the Tayrona Museum located in front of Bolívar Square, it brings together an exquisite collection of authentic pieces, the life and customs of the Tayronas indigenous people, who inhabited the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta around 500 AD.

Finally, we will go to the Taganga viewpoint to appreciate the fishing village, the Caribbean Sea and the sunset (when it is done in the afternoon); later we return to the hotels. The tourist will have a clear concept of the culture, history, economy and geography of Santa Marta.
