Copenhagen Highlights Private Driving Tour

Only a short time to see the main highlights of the Danish capital? Ready, set, go! Your private driver and guide await you to take you on your adventure. This is our Copenhagen Highlights Private Driving Tour. Rolling down the inner-city streets, we’ll cover the best of Copenhagen in 4 hours. By the end, if you ask us, you’ll be experts on what this lively city has to offer.

We’ll begin with a scenic drive as we pass famous buildings such as Rosenborg Castle, Charlottenborg Palace and the gorgeous Nyhavn, famous for its colourful houses. Before long, we find ourselves approaching the “Castle Island,” or in Danish, Slotsholmen. Surrounded by canal and harbour, the island is home to the magnificent Christiansborg Palace. Once it was the home of Danish royalty, while today, it is home to politicians. Don’t worry, royalty is still in the house! The Queen of Denmark hosts official functions in The Royal Reception Rooms (perhaps we’ll be invited to one?!).

Next up, Copenhagen City Hall! Sit back and relax after the pomp and circumstance of Christiansborg Palace as we zoom over to City Hall Square where we find the elegant seat of the municipal council. Often overlooked, many enjoy the view of the building’s exterior and miss the beautiful interior. From famous Danes to the National Romantic architecture style, we’ll cover the mains of this picturesque landmark on our brief tour inside. But we, of course, won’t leave without saying hello to the time-worthy treasure of the City Hall!

We’ll top it all off with a short stroll down some of the cobbled lanes of the oldest part of Copenhagen. Crooked, brightly coloured buildings, cosy squares and hidden alleyways wait to be explored. What are you waiting for?! Hop on board - let’s take on the highlights of Copenhagen, one by one.

Please note: Due to Her Majesty the Queen’s official functions, the palace may be partially or fully closed. If the palace is closed, OURWAY Tours reserves the right to swap the visit to Christiansborg Palace with a visit to Rosenborg Palace. Due to a large number of events, partial or full closure of the City Hall can take place.
