Authentic Tokyo Asakusa Sumo Performance and Chankonabe Feast - Ticket

Dive deep into Japan’s national sport with an immersive cultural entertainment show held right in the heart of Asakusa. Set up with an authentic sumo ring at the center of the venue, this unique experience combines live performance, interaction, and a delicious traditional meal—all in one place.

The show kicks off with the elegant beauty of a Geisha dance, setting a refined tone before transitioning to the raw energy of sumo. You’ll receive a comprehensive introduction to the sport’s fascinating rituals, rules, and intense training methods, all explained clearly with bilingual commentary in Japanese and English.

Witness former sumo wrestlers demonstrate traditional techniques and engage in a spirited, three-bout match to crown the "Champion of the Day." They offer fun, easy-to-understand explanations of winning moves and prohibited actions, bringing the sport to life. For the adventurous, there's a chance to enter the ring yourself and challenge a wrestler! (Note: Participation is limited and determined by lottery if demand is high.)

Food & Farewell: Throughout the performance, you can feast on an all-you-can-eat Chanko-nabe stew—the hearty, nutritious meal favored by sumo wrestlers—alongside other delicious Japanese dishes. Your experience concludes with a memorable group photo session with the wrestlers and a special souvenir set to take home from your time in Asakusa.

Please Note: This is an entertainment show performed by former sumo wrestlers. If your goal is to watch active training sessions, please look into alternative Tokyo experiences.
