DAY 1 | SELJALANDSFOSS AND SKOGAFOSS WATERFALLS
Please be advised that you will be picked up from your selected pick-up location at the time stated on your voucher. Please note that the pickup process may take up to 30 minutes.
Our journey begins with an exhilarating drive down Route 1, where we'll encounter the breathtaking Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls. On a clear day, we'll have the incredible opportunity to witness the majestic glaciers that surround us, including Eyjafjallajökull and Myrdalsjokull.
Next, we'll arrive in the charming coastal village of Vik, where we'll discover Reynisfjara, a magical black sand beach that's nothing short of spectacular!
As the day rolls by, we’ll head deeper into the countryside to our accommodation in Skaftafell, where we can enjoy a relaxing evening and recharge for the coming day. If the weather allows, we will top off our day by witnessing Iceland´s quintessential natural phenomenon: the Northern Lights. The beautiful northern lights are a special kind of atmospheric phenomenon that we're lucky to be able to enjoy from September to April. They're not something we can count on, but when they do appear, they're truly a sight to behold!
Accommodation: 3* Adventure Hotel Hof or similar
Overnight in Hof on bed-and-breakfast basis
DAY 2 | SKAFTAFELL TO JOKULSARLON
We're setting an early start for an unforgettable journey to the awe-inspiring Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and the stunning Diamond Beach.
Next, we head to an Ice Cave where our certified guides will ensure a safe and exciting experience. Ice Caves are only found during the wintertime when the glacial rivers retract and the water freezes. Our main ice cave in the winter is the Crystal Ice Cave, and it's absolutely stunning! But if it's inaccessible, we'll visit an alternative ice cave, which is just as amazing. During the summer months (from April to October), we'll visit the Ice Cave Under the Volcano. If it's inaccessible, we'll do a glacier hike instead, which is just as exciting!
